Dear Supporter:
On behalf of all the officers and civilian personnel at Foothill Area, I would like to thank you for your generous donation to the Foothill Christmas Basket Program. This year, thanks to caring people like yourself, Foothill personnel were able to assemble and distribute 808 baskets to needy families within the Area. These baskets included a fresh meat item, canned goods, staples, and a toy for each child 12 and under. I cannot tell you how much it warms an officer's heart to deliver the baskets and to see the tears ofjoy coming from the recipient's eyes.
In addition to the Christmas Basket Program, Foothill personnel and volunteers also hosted the Second Annual Senior Christmas Party for senior citizens in the SunlandlTujunga area. A packed house of 125 zealous seniors enjoyed themselves with a wonderftil home cooked meal consisting of turkey, ham, and all the fixings. Along with the dinner, the seniors were also treated to live entertainment, door prizes, and, of course, a visit from Santa Claus. The party proved a tremendous success and will no doubt be continued next year.
Once again, I would like to thank you for your contribution. It is people like you who make this holiday program possible. If you have any questions regarding the success of the Christmas program, please contact Sergeant Ken Roth, Foothill Area Community Relations Office, at (XXX) 756-8657.
Very truly yours,
WILLIE L. WILLIAMS
